The 1992-93 Miami Heat season is the 5th season of the Miami Heat in the National Basketball Association (NBA). During the offseason, the Heat acquired John Salley from the Detroit Pistons. The Heat would get off to a sluggish start as they were bitten by the injury bug with Steve Smith missing the first 34 games of the season. They finished fifth in the Atlantic Division with a 36-46 record, missing the playoffs.
